Perhaps you can't review that one because it's your own commit?
It looks like a lot of work for something that's easily worked around.
Current (Linux) workaround for individual triggers, depends on local audio player: ```yml global_vars: - name: playsound type: shell params: cmd: paplay $HOME/path/to/pull-back-325.ogg matches: - trigger: :test replace: something{{playsound}} ```

Have you set the keyboard parameters as indicated in the documentation? What's your `backend`? I find `Inject` tends to work better in a terminal.
