I'm leaving this issue open for any testing that @ekluzek still needs to do.

@ekluzek two questions: 1) I tried pushing the above changes to `https://github.com/slevis-lmwg/CMEPS.git` in order to open a PR and got `repository not found`. Should I let you make the changes...

Ok, done. From /glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/inputdata/lnd/clm2/rawdata, I typed: `chmod -R o+r CTSM53RawData` @adamrher, thank you, and let me know if you encounter other issues.

In case it helps (I've seen this before), I now also did this: `chmod -R o+x CTSM53RawData`

If you decide to use the file that I generated for I2000 (started with 1850 spin-up with cnmatrix and continued with Hist without cnmatrix), then that finidat is under /inputdata...
