can you check the list of https://github.com/deskflow/deskflow/issues/8450 to see if any others maybe fixed by this also ?
This maybe fixed for wayland servers with 1.24.0.343. Try with deskflow server / client if you can just incase its an issue we have fixed that input-leap still has.

It's a workaround yes. We didn't close the bug since we do intend to fix this.
No reason, anyone can make a PR. I have other things to fix first. I would suspect we need to update our code to use XKBCommon directly for modifiers.
