does lld show anything missing or if you build the client and run in debug do you get any hints as to why the gui is crashing ?

It sounds like you know how to fix it if that is the case patches are welcome.
Is the service shut downtime able to be controlled by us or its just windows closing the service ? I wonder if windows just takes a bit of extra time...
