Thoughts: add was intended to be an easy way to get started; it doesn't support all of journal syntax. Should it ? hledger-ui supports add (a), iadd (A), and edit...
Correct, I would like to see a patch and some real-world testing.
Wow.. thanks for the report. I can reproduce by `hledger-ui `.
I can still reproduce this with hledger-1.21, though it's not that easy. I load the 1000 transaction sample journal and hammer on the enter key as fast as I can....
A much faster way to reproduce it: ``` $ while true; do hledger-ui -f examples/1000x1000x10.journal || break; sleep 0.1; done ``` and hammer on the `q` key until it breaks....
I couldn't reproduce this today on mac. Would appreciate any confirmations that this is still reproducible with hledger-ui 1.43 (all platforms).
Great analysis. I must say haven't knowingly encountered this with any of my CSVs yet, or I have unconsciously worked around it somehow. But now I feel very well forewarned...
I don't think so @XVilka. Did it cause you pain ? Now that you know about it have you been able to work around by reordering postings or tweaking csv...
Hi, thanks for the MRE. I see you're using an unreleased developer build, but that should be fine. I tested with that exact version and the file you gave, but...
(on mac.) Maybe there's another windows user who could try it. Maybe also you are able to try it on a non-windows computer ? Perhaps with the 1.40 release ?...
