I solved the issue 1. updated compileSdkVersion to -> 30 2. updated Gradle wrapper to-> distributionUrl=https\://services.gradle.org/distributions/gradle-6.7-all.zip 3. updated com.android.tools.build:gradle -> 4.1.0
