Possibility of handling multiple keypresses for additional functionality

Has there been any thought of having additional functionality tied to pressing two keys at the same time.. and/or supporting functional layers?

It has a built in 320x240 screen, 4MB PSRAM, ESP32, MicroSD card support, etc.. apart from missing the keyboard would it be a stretch to get everything running on it?...
