yeah, definite bad naming, it's a side effect of these functions being thrown in to address an old version of LOVE taking sideways matrices in, which made things really confusing....

it will get gc'd anyways after a while if it isn't referenced anymore, is something preventing this from happening? it would be good to be able to force it to...

fix for this is setting (and resetting after mesh export) `armature.data.pose_position = 'REST'` and setting the use modifiers flag on `obj.to_mesh` in `collectMeshes`

if it helps i already ported the version i use, wasn't too bad. https://github.com/excessive/iqm-exm/tree/master/blender-2.80 has some other changes, too, such as animations using NLA & different selection behavior

woops, didn't notice the email for this! my plan was to use lua-enet but pure FFI bindings would be more in the spirit of it. I haven't got a priority...

quick update, I've fixed physfs and implemented read and enumerate at least, I'll be committing that and work on the rest of the module when I'm home.

note: while I've got travis partially set up, I don't know how to get travis to run busted on luajit (which is required, since I use luajit functionality extensively)
