Sounds a lot like #32848 (which went stale).

Looking at the code I note that ```DiscusMultipleScatteringCorrection``` has a new property - ```NormalizeStructureFactors```. Is there a way to test this as I don't think the test above covers this?

This crash also occurs in v6.4 and v6.3 so in the first instance we'll look to disable the feature for peak overlays.

I've been unable to recreate this on v6.9 on Windows. The workspace deletes quickly with no hanging. Could @RichardWaiteSTFC and @thomashampson also check whether it's reproducable still?

I've just tried deleting `Vana_norm` and that is hanging so there is definitely some issue still there
