The ability to import settings from say a file or even a datasourse to the sandbox's my.sandbox.cnf file could be useful to automatically provision custom sandboxes in the "creation" phase...

MySQL version at prompt might be useful

SUGGESTION ONLY: Perhaps appending the MySQL version to the prompt might be useful for debugging sessions when testing features against different versions. This seems to be coded in the sandbox.sh...
