Once can still reach out to PyPA via mail. I am quite positive that they would help to eliminate confusion
Hostname is unique in that regard as it is the only setting not actually handled by the firstboot service
Could also introduce a new settings scope but that seems like unnecessary complexity just for this setting
The problem are usr-only images where `/etc/hostname` is lost. In that case the hostname just gets set to "fedora" in the initrd (or whatever is set in the initrd's os-release)...
Yes sure that works, as would setting `systemd.hostname=` on the cmdline, however, this is very unintuitive for usr-only images and one more thing to stumble upon and figure out why...

The scenario you are describing and the one linked in [1] are different. For polkit missing I think it might be feasible to respond with a more specific message, though...
There are WeasyPrint and xhtml2pdf as lightweight solutions though I am not sure how good their accuracy is. Puppeteer, Playwright and Selenium all want to download a headless browser. AFAIK...
Fixes #36447 Thanks for taking this on
This also happens with on some demo pages (e.g. [event interaction](https://fullcalendar.io/docs/event-dragging-resizing-demo)) so I assume it is a general problem. Seems to be the same as #6741
