Allow for spatial perturbation screen analysis

Open timtreis opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

Initial data is coming up in which perturbation screens have been analysed using spatial technologies. This workstream should deal with tools to analyse and compare these data.

Is this redundant with #784?

Depends on where we draw the line in "healthy vs control" vs "perturbation screen" imho? What do you think? The first could basically be "simple" matrix comparisons, the latter must probably be more sophisticated

With perturbation analysis I was rather referrring to "treatment vs control", so still a simple comparison. But it could obviously also be used for observational studies.

With @Zethson we're currently scoping out something that goes more in the direction of a perturbation screen, so I feel like there'll need to be tools for both. I don't have an intuition yet on how strong their overlap would be, but I'd tentatively think of them as 2 related but different topics 🤔 Wdyt also @giovp ?

ok, but then we should rename the other issue, because all its content is really about comparisons between groups.

let's rename both and make this one about the screen then, if the other one already contains the group comparison discussion
