It would be very useful to have a transparency slider when previewing a layer on its page as well as in in the map viewer.

Map view layer list rendering issue

The layer list in the map viewer has some issues rendering using Windows 7 - Firefox: 

The map is permanently tilted when going back to 2D view from the globe.
