UI artifacts appear when N++ tab bar is set to "Hide"

I found that the ruler gets some user-interface "artifacts" drawn in it when I set N++'s Preferences -> General -> Tab Bar -> Hide to _ticked_. Here's an example:

This is a FEATURE REQUEST. Notepad++ version 7.6.4 (I think) brought the capability to rename an unsaved tab. For example, a tab with the title "new 2" can be right-clicked...
