Closing this issue under a cleanup campaign.
Is there any issue dedicated to Dark Mode? Is someone actively working on it?
Or how about having a option in preferences to enable all protocols? With some kind of warning when it is checked? The default settings would still have it disabled.

Have you tried debugging by remove all the styles and approaching with a bisect strategy?
Are we going to make the previous code compatible or make it for Python 3 only? I see twisted is not yet supported for Python 3?
At least for dataviz I can port it to 3. Because all required libraries are available in Python 3.
