'Button' potion - focus states

Given best practices in accessibility, it's probably a good idea to have keyboard focus states for your buttons. Pretty commonly forgotten by newbies, but makes a great deal of difference...

I should be able to hold shift and click a bar on the histoslider and extend the selection to include that bar.

At present `mousedown` `mouseout` and `mouseover` are being used - need to investigate approaches friendly to touch devices
