Same error and empty chats list on 3.5.0(2074) and server 1.2.1 android oreo  And this is on many devices of peoples in our company.

We resolved that problem by deleting one message in one of group chat. We found this chat by detect peoples who have problems and who is members of one chat....

I think that "cache-global" implementation will be enough. That universal "PostEvictionDelegate" will receive evicted item - so we will have ability to log his key and value.
