Please consider using the excellent new icon created by @euf (https://organicmaps.zulipchat.com/#narrow/stream/418347-Design/topic/Trace.20Path.20Icon/near/454915884). Please also note how indication of recording is implemented on Android.

I already found a bug... the recent track is not removed from the map after stopping of recording.

Thanks for the contribution! Could you please add some basic unit tests? Otherwise it is hard to say that all cases work as expected.

I guess that this issue is caused by the network location (https://github.com/organicmaps/organicmaps/issues/6270). Try to disable mobile data and wifi and check if pure GPS works well. I have a draft...
