I tried recreating this myself on my macbook using the same versions of tmux, python and tqdm and I am not able to reproduce - so it is highly unlikely...

I just bought a Tibber Pulse and have a Kaifa meter. Quickly got the same issue as described here. I found an ugly workaround by assuming meter messages have fixed...
