This deals with the main issue of re-iterating over the folders multiple times. I did some logging and this reduces the duration from approx. 13 seconds, to about 7ms.

Hi @TiBej The color picker itself doesn't allow transparency, but once you select your color, you can click inside the input field to get the opacity control. Does that help?

@TiBej after reading your comments more closely, it sounds like you're wanting to use the opacity controls when defining your preset colors, and not only when modifying an instance of...
