2 is already supported, like the OP says. You can set `"remote.SSH.allowLocalServerDownload": true`.

Another thing I thought of - the selected state should be persisted when I reload the window. Either per-workspace or globally - we can check what scm does.
I see this in the "sync data"  The most recent:  Looking at the recent UI State sync activity, it seems like that boolean is just switching from true...
I get this every time after restarting vscode, so settings sync is totally broken now.
Have not seen this again, although it sounds like @rebornix just saw this - not sure if the same thing
@Hezhexi2002 I think you are actually having a different issue. But could someone please check the original issue in the latest Insiders build, I think I actually fixed it last...
If you have a bashrc or other terminal config file that adds code to the PATH, it might override our PATH modification. Do you? What is `echo $PATH`
