Considering the comments made by Zitchas and Derpy above, I'm closing this PR as it seems to fix a problem that wasn't really there in the first place.

Not sure if this would be too in-depth for what's required, but perhaps you should mention that ideas for new storylines, factions, or mechanics should be discussed in a Github...
Might want to check with Derpy, since he's writing the Syndicate campaign.
I'm not going to review this until the status of this PR is figured out.
