There is this very handy version json on julialang.org and there is even a json schema for that. We should probably just use that to figure which versions exist and where to download them, instead of grabbing that information from the git release API and piecing together the URLs by hand.

Any update on this? Using this plugin, I cannot download the latest beta versions (e.g., v1.10.0-beta1 (July 25, 2023) 0 from Upcoming release. Only released versions can be seen.
