Sorry for the long wait, but i can't reproduce this, what version of gtk you are using?

This has something to do with changing the syntax highlighting language in gtksourceview3, but i can't figure out how to fix it.

You need to provide more information on the issue. Are you able to create snapshots using the command line interface?
