What about using backbone-relational for this? This plug-in does a good job with relational collections.

I know there are tools out there, i just feel like this should be built into the extension.

I have the exact same problem when executing run_windows.bat. I have tried running it multiple times and it failed every time with the certificate expired error. Anything else to try?
