compile.sh didn't work for me, made it with the full command... problem fixed! Wasn't executing the command inside the locales folder.

I've used a raspberry pi with desktop these days several times to connect to various Mastodon instances and some with v4.0 and I haven't noticed any issues. Maybe the slowness...

What about adding an "Advanced" category in the settings that would enable this kind of option? The "Unlisted" option would only appear in the drop-down menu if it is enabled...
