However, I see MAJOR problems with the email addresses:

1. They are not needed.

2. Many are outdated and not working.

3. And what's worst, this is not only problematic wrt maintainability, but also GDPR. We would have had needed an agreement from each person to publish their email address.

Suggestion: Quickly reset the HEAD to before 4869d51, before many other commits come on top, so that the emails are invisible in the commit history. Option 2: Delete emails in this PR, merge by squashing, delete this branch.

I see your point, but for some it's going to be harder to point whether people have completely left the project.
