So, I had a look at this issue: [handleStateChange confusion around controlling isOpen](https://github.com/downshift-js/downshift/issues/206) . It seems like the `downshift` component doesn't have a problem and it exposes a prop `onOuterClick`...

Hey @silviuaavram . Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I tried to control isOpen using `onIsOpenChange`. I am facing a similar issue. Please have a look at the sandbox link...
