Okay, I've tried "classic" (without `userns-remap`) privileged containers with unconfined AppArmor and seccomp policies, still the same 🤔

Same with the binary built from [the latest `master`](https://github.com/firebuild/firebuild/commit/e94bbaebc724da7db476da37d1a0a41d77854f8b), also tried to disable jemalloc with `-DWITH_JEMALLOC=OFF`, no effect.

Excellent, thank you very much for such thorough debugging. I'll try to move further with a locally compiled `rustc` without `jemalloc` next week, will post an update here afterwards. Meanwhile...

Even that it's stale and really outdated, IMO this contribution is important, I'll keep it open to be picked up by someone maybe sometime in the future. _cc_ @paritytech/release-engineering
