That's pretty much normal. Almost no game running in SteamVR does support changing the render resolution on-the-fly.
Not really a fix, but a work around: you can just create a backup file of the particular profile folder which are stored at: C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\AppData\Roaming\UnrealVRMod
There is nothing we can do. I [already reported](https://github.com/praydog/UEVR/issues/234#issue-2221420764) it... the game is just not let's call it "stable enough".
That's interesting, sounds pretty much like the [same behavior as for **RIDE 4**](https://github.com/praydog/UEVR/issues/234#issue-2221420764). Also the thing with the save game. The files get corrupted every time the crash occurs and...
