Yeah, that should fix it once it's merged/released.
The README should be updated as we do test on 2016 and 2019 and confirm it works.
@RiverHeart for a unit test, you should check and see if by default it displays this error, otherwise you should set it to true so the other tests pass.

This is going to need to wait until we get this cookbook updated for Chef 17 so the tests pass properly. We should be getting that done soon.
