Annoying auto-raise behaviour

When the main window and the gcode viewer are both open and the mouse moves over either of the viewports, that viewport raises to the front automatically. It's quite annoying......

I can't find a way to zoom the preview pane. Am I just missing it or is it not currently possible ?
