The failing tests seem unrelated to this PR. The current master also fails, at least in my local machine.

Because in the old Ruby, SyntaxError would be raised before executing the whole `if` expression.

Experiencing the same problem. [react-share](https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-share)@4.4.0 is one such package and has no named exports except `__esModule` when imported from `.mjs`.
