Did you ever figure this one out? I'm getting this error in Android 4.4 only... 4.2 works fine :x

I ended up asking this on Stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23266043/playing-local-in-app-mp4-files-in-a-html5-videoplayer-in-a-cordova-phonegap-app. Apparently the only (known) way to work around this is to copy the video file to the SD card and play it...

Thanks so much... Video playback seems to be a mystery ever since this last 4.4 webview update. It runs on chromium now, and quite a few features now work completely...
