\776 seems to be the points above vocals (¨) making them to »Umlaute« in German. So neither your directory- nor filenames should include them. I don't know why it's 2024...

Wayland: Display errors and main window resizing

I have the same problem, using arch, GNOME and Wayland. The menu entries are visible when using either GNOME via Xorg or KDE via Wayland.
