I'm definitely open to the idea. It would be easier if someone else (you, or anyone) could do it. I only have access to one syslog system. Any new ones...

There is already a service running; it's how Make Me Admin is able to do its thing. What are you trying to accomplish?

You could just delete the shortcuts with Group Policy Preferences, or with whatever your desktop management system is.

I'm not sure what you mean by forcing the registry key to update manually. Did you try Make Me Admin without configuring any settings? By default, it works for anyone.
