hey so i think i found the problem. apparently in edge.py to launch edge eel runs a method called run() and there it does sps.Popen() with the argument "start microsoft-edge:http://localhost:8000/main.html"...
also, apparently run() doesn't want to pass any arguments to the cmd variable:
