@subodh1810 would [pg_replication_origin_advance](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/functions-admin.html#PG-REPLICATION-ORIGIN-ADVANCE) have helped to advance the lsn on the failover instance so that we could resume the sync from that instant? (this function was provided from @seanglynn-thrive writeup)
