Too high performance components?
First of all, it is a discussion I intend to start, not really an issue to report, but I didn't find a better way to do it. I wanted to build the "standard" Hades board by ordering the PCB and components and solder them manually, and while ordering the parts, I had a doubt, if we really need some of the components to be so high performance. Sometimes, very high current (250mW for 0402 10k) or very high accuracy (0.5% for the LEDs) resistors are used, while I have a feeling it may not be that important. Or was it just convenience, or price at the time of designing the board, resulting these components selected? It's been 5 years after all... ;-) And needless to say, thank you so much for making this design open source, and with KiCAD, so hobbyists, like me, can play with it. :-)
