Once again thanks for your initial work and your feedback. Being short on 2.5G/10G/SFP equipment I did my best to get this running from 1/2.5G port pair crossover and hoping...
Thanks for the feedback. This is slow but good progress ... Please check/approve the first implementation bit https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/19429
clean up before taking a break
This is v2 version and needs a separate DTS plus a new build recipe. See https://forum.openwrt.org/t/support-for-rtl838x-based-managed-switches/57875/3472 @janh might remember the location of a modified DTS.
Give https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/19843 a try for another test run.
Run "sys dump hwp all" as per https://svanheule.net/switches/zyxel_xgs1210_series
So RTL8221B serdes seem to be 6/7 like in A1 version. Then the last currently known bit that might be missing is https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/pull/19518
That PR contains a bugfix that might help. No other knowledge around bringing up RTL8221B on RTL930x exists right now.
@bevanweiss what is the current RTL8221B state on your hasivo switch?
As per https://forum.openwrt.org/t/support-for-rtl838x-based-managed-switches/57875/2438 please make a v2 out of it. See gs1900-24hp: - dtsi defines 128mb - v1 has a 64mb downsize included - v2 not Thanks.
