I was navigating the "Work Tree" and pressing refresh as the effect of resetting where I was in my navigation.

Wish - For the image viewer to read the exif rotation data of photos

I think the image viewer does not read the rotation of photos.

Wish - To know when the gui has finished or is refreshing

When opening or refreshing a repository, the "Work Tree" gets populated without the user knowing, also there is no indication that refreshing is over.
