UPDATED:

Take a look at https://github.com/pkgcore/pkgcheck/issues/733#issuecomment-2753769112.

The proposition is turn on and to turn on by default the PkgMissingMetadataXml, CatMissingMetadataXml checks for non-::gentoo repositories.
