The BetaFPV SuperP 14 channel receiver is a good one. You can configure the second serial on any of the pins.
The dev team are investigating/working on removing the ARM channel requirement completely for full-res modes.So that will remove the need for all this complication with channel mapping.
@rotorflight did you manage to reproduce this again? Or are you happy that this can be closed?
For bonus points we could hide the serial protocol entries if they are not configured too!
I think this is also related to #2751 and a potential fix is in #2755. If you could test and comment on #2755 that would help.
You didn't say which version you tried on. Can you provide the JSON file you are trying to upload so we can test as well.
