@dgwyer The current plan is to focus on this for 3.1 so we won't see much action here until the 3.0 release is finished.

Let's review this after 3.0 is completed. Very likely that the new reports / data structures in 3.0 will resolve this for us.

I would like to see this, though probably as part of v2.0 of the gateways API (where we implement an OOP approach).
