You are using `switch.tapo_c210_wz_privacy` for the first example and `switch.tapo_c210_wz_auto_track` for the other example so you can not compare it.
Try configuring template card and entity card with the same entity. You should notice the same delay. The delay doesn't depend on the card but on the integration.

 It's fixed by https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/pull/21244. You can now longer have feature overflow because the min height is calculated according to the number of features.
Front end is merged to a feature branch. I will create a new branch when we will have changes in that PR.
