Is this still achievable for 4.7 release? It's quite fundamentally tied to ImageMagick #913? If not, I'm happy to push this to 4.8 (there's quite enough new features in 4.7...
I'm going to push this to 4.8 as it would delay 4.7 for something that (although very nice to have) isn't essential.
Sorry but I'd defer this to 4.9 and investigate one of your UI widgets to implement it.
