I can confirm that, Update button does not update to 3.3.0, freshly installed I also got 3.2.1 
I would like this as well, my rpi1 is soo slow and often it's not even worth rendering when the print fails. Maybe with a new setting "Autostart Timelapse renders"...

Yes that would work if the "timeout" is set much lower. Maybe after 1h of no rain it gets active again. Additionally maybe just mute options to mute for 2h...
