They will probably be called ST and TH, not T1 and T2.
The 'telemetry connected' sound and logic was added in 2.10, it did not exist prior to that.
If it's a software problem it would help to know which nightly works for you. That might make it easier to pinpoint.
FWIW my MT12 does not reset the RTC clock with current main branch.
