If we added a "geographical area" description to https://galmon.eu/observers.html (could be calculated from the rough lat/lon, or freeform as per operator/remark), then this (already outdated) list becomes redundant.

A "wanted areas" list does sound good, actively encouraging those who see their area listed, rather than actively discouraging those whose area is already covered like the current list does....

Yes having the configured model reported on the observer.html page, and available for inter-observer comparisons/pretty graphs sounds like a good idea to me. Easy enough to implement on the ubxtool...

Just had a case with Remco where he'd switched back to a revision that did not configure the model, but of course the model was still set from his previous...
