@XinyueZ can you share more context on what you were trying to accomplish. I was able to successfully test deepresearch with gpt-oss:20b via ollama.
I faced this issue just a while ago. I know where this is happeing from and trying to find the root cause.

I found the issue. In my case.. it was my fault, I did'nt pass the subagents expected. Also having better instructions helped my purpose.
